In addition to dealing with extreme poverty, Dalit students also face serious discrimination from a society that tells them that regardless of their efforts in the classroom or the workplace, because they are Dalits, they will never be the equal of their non-Dalit friends. In order to close the gap, we provide our students with three things:

• more time in school;
• specific achievement goals for each year, month and week; and
• a conscious effort to guide their behavior and values.

Your gift will provide a Dalit child with a quality education for an entire year. In addition, each student is provided with room and board, uniforms, books, personal items and health care.
